Harmony Cup 2026 Unites Communities Through Cricket in Thrilling Last-Ball Finale

Cairns, Queensland – Harmony Cup 2026 brought together communities from across Far North Queensland in a vibrant celebration of multiculturalism, friendship, and sport, culminating in a thrilling championship match decided on the very last ball of the tournament.

The event featured teams representing India, Bangladesh, PNG, China, Japan, Sri Lanka, Australia, Bhutan, and the Indigenous community, showcasing the power of sport to connect people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Organised by GOPIO Cairns Inc., Harmony Cup 2026 highlighted teamwork, inclusion, and community spirit both on and off the field. Hundreds of spectators enjoyed a day of exciting cricket, cultural exchange, and family-friendly activities.

GOPIO Cairns President and Tournament Organiser, Subash Chetry, thanked all players, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, officials, and spectators for their contribution to the event’s success.
